What you'll do:
- Develop future ministry leaders through the Lakepointe School of Ministry Residency & Internship programs.
- Prepare Residents to be excellent staff members embodying Lakepointe culture.
- Ensure that Residents are used in meaningful ministry that propels Lakepointe Church.
- Help graduating Residents with job placements at Lakepointe, SLN Church plants and beyond.
- Supervise the Young Adult Pastor who is building a ministry for 18–30-year-olds at Lakepointe Church, including college students.
- Supervise the SOM/LPYA Associate and engage with the recruitment and admissions of SOM Interns & Residents.
- Work with Lead Pastor of Leadership & Missions to evaluate and devise strategies to train, prepare, and release young adults into meaningful ministry.
- Play a key role in curriculum partnerships and course credits for SOM students.
- Lead our teaching team of staff that provide Theological and Practical Ministry Instruction for our Interns & Residents.
Skills & Experience you've had:
- A master’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-years previous experience in pastoral or ministry roles, with a focus on working with young adults.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with and relate to young adults.
- A deep understanding of young adult culture, challenges, and spiritual needs.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- High-level networking and relationship skills.
- Strong desire to coach, develop and hold people accountable.
