Position Overview:

The Campus Missions Manager is responsible for engaging and implementing the strategy and structure for missions mobilization at the Firewheel campus. This includes leading local serving initiatives, mission trip recruitment, and mission-led all-church events. The role requires an individual who can effectively recruit, train, and oversee volunteer teams, ensuring strong engagement in missions efforts both locally, nationally, and globally. 

What you'll do: 

Firewheel Campus Responsibilities

  • Serve an average of at least 24 hours per week on campus during the work week, including weekends as needed but no less than two weekends per month
  • Drive mission trip leader and participant recruitment
  • Facilitate and lead local serving opportunities outside the church
  • Oversee the training, development, and management of campus Life Group Mission Leads
  • Support campus teams with SYCD, All Campus Blessing Plays, and AMO initiatives
  • Oversee and drive the campus outreach strategy of individuals and life groups serving the community of the campus

Oversee the campus benevolence process

Volunteer Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and oversee key mission leadership roles to build and sustain volunteer teams
    • Local Serving Coach- leads campus-based local serving initiatives
    • Groups Mission Lead Coach- supports mission engagement within life groups
    • Mission Trip Coach- guides mission trip planning and execution

Missions Central Team Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for assigned LP Missions-operated ministries
  • Oversee relationships with assigned local ministry partners and alliances
  • Contribute to the mission trip experience, including retirement and leadership support
  • Play a leadership role in mission-led all-campus events
  • Engage with international partnerships as needed

Skills & Experience you’ve had:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as theology, social work, or nonprofit management or commensurate experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of and passion for local community outreach and missions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to lead and motivate volunteers, as well as to work collaboratively with other church leaders and staff members
