What you'll do: 

  • Plan, organize, and execute catering services for church events, including meetings, conferences, funerals, outreach programs, and special gatherings
  • Develop menus that align with church values, and budgetary constraints
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain high-quality standards
  • Create relationships with staff, volunteers, and external catering vendors
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling protocols, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain and manage catering budgets, including cost control, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders and event coordinators to assess catering needs and provide customized food service solutions
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff and volunteers to enhance hospitality and service excellence
  • Establish partnerships with local vendors and food suppliers to enhance cost efficiency and food quality
  • Oversee kitchen facilities and equipment maintenance across multiple locations
  • Coordinate logistics for transporting food and supplies between campuses as needed
  • Actively engage in monthly All-Staff meetings and worship
  • Handle special dietary requests and allergy accommodations for guests and attendees

Skills & Experience you've had:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in catering, food service management, or hospitality leadership
  • Experience managing food operations and multiple locations
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes, and commercial kitchen operations
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for church events
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the church
  • Experience in nonprofit or church-related catering services (preferred)
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning (preferred)
  • ServSafe Manager certification (preferred)
