Who you are: 

You are passionate about building and equipping volunteer teams to disciple the next generation. You have strong communication skills and connect well with students, volunteers, and parents. You have led a successful student ministry in a full-time staff position. Good day, or bad, people feel the love of Jesus when they are around you. You look for opportunities to help others find the way God has wired them and connect them to volunteer opportunities – not because you want something from them, but because you want something for them. You have a deep theological understanding that guides your decision-making. Sharing best practices and working on a team brings you joy. You’re able to confidentially lead midweek and weekend programming. You're able to lead midweek and weekend programming on your own prioritizing great group experiences for students.

What you'll do: 

  • Oversee and provide opportunities for involvement in middle school ministries: midweek groups, midweek programming, missions, campus ministries, and special events 
  • Supervise and motivate a team of staff, residents, and interns
  • Provide spiritual guidance and support to middle school students
  • Actively engage in and contribute to monthly worship sessions during All Staff
  • Recruit, equip, and care for volunteer team
  • Work closely with Rockwall Student Pastor to create a consistent experience
  • Partner with Central Students to create midweek and weekend experience  
  • Participate in general pastoral duties as needed at the campus for middle school students (counseling, benevolence, baptisms, etc.)
  • Visit school campuses on a regular basis and attend student games, lunches, FCA meetings, and other activities that would provide opportunities to get to know and minister to students
  • Attend and help execute summer camp, mission trips, and other student ministry events 

Skills & Experience you’ve had:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven experience leading a student ministry
  • Leadership, teaching, counseling education/experience 
  • Proven experience recruiting and building strong volunteer teams
  • Ability to lead and supervise a staff team
  • Passion for those far from God
  • Teachable spirit, humble - pursuing feedback and coaching
